On the social network where the average age of a user is 44.3 (the oldest next to Classmates.com) Jeff Zelaya at age 27 is dominating LinkedIn by achieving the highest number of recommendations to date by a young person and 100+ over the LinkedIn international average of 2 recommendations. Jeff has been a huge LinkedIn advocator and has inspired many students and business professionals to join the site via his public speaking events, seminars, workshops and webinars.
Jeff believes that “It’s not only what you know but also who you know and more importantly who knows you.” Based on this belief Jeff has taken to college campuses to teach online marketing, social media and specifically LinkedIn. He has presented for students, alumni and faculty of Florida International University, Broward College and Florida Atlantic University. Jeff also does social media for business workshops. Additionally, Jeff has partnered with Emerge Broward to teach senior citizens about social media and how they can use for business and personal.
