People are always asking me for motivation tips and advice. Many are inspired by the way that I exude never ending positive energy and stay so highly motivated, that it would seem like I’ve never had any obstacles get in my way. This is far from the truth.
Like everyone else I face obstacles, hardships and tough times. However, it is my decision to stay positive and keep moving forward in the face of adversity that keeps me focused. Instead of focusing on the roadblocks that you encounter on your way to your goals refocus on the WHY!
When you have a good enough WHY
you will always find the HOW!
What’s your WHY?
My Wife & Son Are My WHY
I do what I do so that they could have the best of everything. They have no worries about their needs being provided for by dad. As provider, protector and family leader, it is my responsibility to make the necessary self-sacrifices that benefit my son and wife. Even the harshest pain fades away when I focus on these two, they are my WHY!
My WHY is my Mom.
She’s always encouraged me to be the best at anything that I do. She came to America in search of a better future for herself and her children. I am her legacy and I intend to make
her happy and proud of the man that I have become because of her sacrifices and wisdom. Of course, buying a house for mom is my goal but deep inside I know that mom is not happy just because of the house but rather she’s happy because of the person that I have become in getting her the house. I keep moving forward, always determined to succeed because she is my WHY!
My WHY is My Brother & Sister.
They look up to me and I can’t let them down. Because of the example that I’ve set and the standards that I hold them to, they both have been able to succeed in and out of school. I wouldn’t be able to demand what I do from them if I didn’t demand it from myself. Siblings listen to what you say, but they’re more convinced by what you do. I keep pushing to set a higher standard because of my siblings, they are my WHY!
My WHY is My Stakeholders.
My professors, mentors, bosses, clients and all the people that have invested time, money and their resources in my future success. I am here today because these people saw potential in me and were willing to help me on the journey. It’s because of their belief in me that I have been able to believe in myself (even when it was difficult). I can’t let them down. My success is their success. These people are my WHY!
What’s your WHY?
Once you know it well and remind yourself often on the WHY, then the HOW will appear and that my friends is the #1 Secret to Always Staying Motivated and Determined.
